British confectionery company Whitakers Chocolates is continuing to expand its portfolio with a significant advance in the production of the company’s first ‘Easymelt’ couverture line, writes Neill Barston.

As the company explains, it is known to serve the market for fondant creams, chocolate wafers, as well as to engage in the restaurant sector, but it has not yet focused on the specialty market. of the cover.

The company’s latest line comes in the form of its ‘Easymelt’ mini 55% dark chocolate chips, available in resealable 2.5kg bags. It was developed gluten-free, palm oil-free, suitable for vegetarians and registered with the Vegan Society.

The Yorkshire-based company has proven particularly resilient amid the pandemic by launching its first box of vegan confectionery, as well as delivering special editions for the Queen’s Jubilee this summer.

“We are renowned for our high quality chocolate products and we have an impressive factory with state-of-the-art machinery. This allows us to be flexible in all areas of chocolate production. More than half of our product line is sold and distributed in the foodservice and hospitality market, so launching a chocolate couverture product instantly enhances our product offering,” the company explained, with its latest line now available directly on its website.
