Cōchu Chocolatier: Opening of a new three-storey chocolate shop in Calgary
Cōchu Chocolatier, a popular local chocolate brand, is opening a new retail space and production facility in Calgary.
This new spot should be open within a few weeks, located in the East Village Hillier Block at 429 – 8th Avenue SE.
Known for serving all types of handmade chocolate bars, sponge toffees, candy barks, award-winning candies, and more, it’s a dream listing for any chocolate lover.
The Hillier Block, built of red brick, looks like the perfect home for Cōchu Chocolatier.
It’s charming, cozy, and has a ton of Calgary history, having first been built in 1910. Over the years, it’s housed a barber shop, billiard room, and even served as Party headquarters. socialist.
Here, the sweets are all made with fresh butter and cream, the the caramelized sponge toffee is coated with up to four different types of couverture chocolate, and there are even different kinds of wild pretzel bark flavors, like one made with sriracha, sea salt, toffee, and peanuts.
Currently, Cōchu Chocolatier offers seven different types of chocolate bars, all of which are made in-house.
The espresso, macchiato, and latte are all made with Phil & Sebastien coffee, while other flavors come with fun ingredients like crunchy candies and crispy crepe flakes.
