Anna Polyviou joins This is Us bakery in Sydney

Pastry chef Anna Polyviou has joined popular This Is Us bakery in Sydney’s Cherrybrook as creative director and has designed a menu that includes some of her signature desserts.

At the bakery, diners can taste the famous Greek Cypriot chocolate fudge cake with chocolate cream and whipped caramel chocolate; Brownies; lemon and passion fruit tarts; berry pies and banana bread.

This Is Us was known for supplying a wide range of sourdough crumpets and English muffins to Harris Farm stores, where Polyviou also launched its own line of cookie dough in February.

Polyviou’s 2020 cookie collaboration became a huge success, allowing him to create a permanent three-flavor brand: triple choc, chocolate brownie, and peanut butter fudge.

The jars include extra chocolate chips and other sweet decorations in Polyviou’s signature style.

“I wanted to use the best ingredients available in my cookie dough,” says Polyviou.

“It includes chocolate couverture and real fudge pieces. It makes all the difference and results in a premium cookie for customers at home. »

Polyviou is also set to open its first retail store on Illawarra Road in Marrickville later this year, according to its Instagram posts.

“What better location than Marrickville. It has always been a dream for me and my team to be around such an amazing community,” she said.
