The village of Lake Placid is one of the most historic and visited small communities in upstate New York. As the host of two major sporting events, the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, many people around the world are already familiar with this little gem of a place tucked away in New York’s High Peaks region.

There are lots of great things to see and do when visiting Lake Placid, and we’ve provided you with a list of a dozen ways to enjoy a short two-day visit here.
